Talking Presidents was founded in 2003 and specializes in talking political action figures and political memorabilia. Our first figure, President George W. Bush, took the world by storm during the Christmas season of 2003. The Bush doll was featured on televsion, print including newspapers in many countries and Newsweek Magazine.

Our History

Variety International was founded in 1983 as a facilitator for fledgling inventions and ideas.

Variety International has brought many products to the market over the last 23 years that may have never been produced if not for the technical knowledge of its owner, Jim Wessling.

Many people have ideas for great products, but without someone to initiate production with a reputable manufacturer, ideas do not become products on store shelves.

Variety International has over 30 years experience with quality manufacturers and production managers overseas. This experience allows us to bring ideas to life while exacting superb quality control and the highest quality materials.

Variety International owns three product lines. CatScram, an ultrasonic feline training device, has been in production since 1992, and is featured in many mail order catalogs. The K9 Kalmer was introduced in 2005. It is a dog traning device that uses sounds only audible to canine ears, which calms dogs and prevents needless barking.

Talking Presidents is our third product line. Talking Presidents is best known for talking political action figures, but also sells political artwork and collectible plates.

CatScram

The CatScram was our first ultrasonic training device for animals. Using a frequency only cats can hear, the CatScram keeps cats out of rooms or off of counters by emitting the sound when the cat walks or jumps in range of the unit. The CatScram has a 90 degree motion detector and will only emit the sound when something passes in front of it. This startles the cat away from the desired location.
